Project Overview
A conceptual wall-mounted clock that tells time through light instead of hands.
Two projected beams indicate hours and minutes, creating a quiet and intuitive reading of time in space.
The Challenge
• Re-think time display without traditional hands or digits
• Integrate light, structure, and power within a compact form
• Balance poetic expression with functional readability
My Role & Contribution
• Led concept development and product direction
• Defined form, proportion, and interaction logic
• Developed 3D design, CMF, and product detailing
Design Approach
A light-as-interface approach, where time is experienced through ambient projection rather than physical indicators.
The form is reduced to a pure circular volume, allowing material and light to define the product.
Development
• Explored beam angle, thickness, and intensity for readability
• Designed internal structure for light channels and battery integration
• Optimized compact form for adhesive wall mounting
Outcome
A conceptual product that redefines time perception through light compact, rechargeable, and designed to seamlessly integrate into interior spaces.
